About Us ….

Our Story

Although our team is small, we are but mighty! Rebecca (me!) trained in florists at Riseholme University in Lincoln and I spent many years working along side some amazing florists in the industry.
After a successful career in Birmingham with a retail shop and a specialty in Asian Weddings, she moved and settled in Colchester.

Starting up a retail shop with my husband Daniel just before Covid hit in 2020, we had to adapt quickly from a retail shop to home workshop and luckily we smashed through the pandemic!
Using everything we learnt then, we have not only survived but we have thrived!
What was supposed to be a little business doing what I love and keeping me busy, has turned into a husband and wife team.
(and of course not forgetting Bella out Alaskan Malamute) and a well established business serving the community of Colchester. None of this would be possible without the amazing support of our lovely customers, for which we are forever grateful!
At Vanilla Blue, we provide simple and stylish flowers that will be remembered.

Rebecca will first listen to your requirements, then using their knowledge of seasonal flowers and their availability, colour combinations and trends, create a tailor made unique design for you. We believe every little detail counts.

Our Bouquets

Our bouquets are typically "florist's choice," meaning we handpick flowers based on their quality, freshness, and seasonality. This ensures that every Vanilla Blue bouquet is extra special and uniquely beautiful. We offer several delightful sizes to suit any occasion and budget.
